HARBIN: 1919 Cover to Vladivostok franked on the reverse with fifty 2k imperf. to make the 1R rate, tied by Harbin 27.9.19 serial « l » cds (T&S type 4), with violet censor cachet applied on arrival, minor soiling to obverse, a spectacular multiple franking Note: Inflationary franking reflecting the rapid depreciation of the Rouble during the Russian Civil War period. To stabilise the situation, Russian Arms stamps were surcharged in Chinese currency at Harbin in October 1920.
