May 88 » cds, with « CUSTOMS / TIENTSIN / 15 May 88 » & « CUSTOMS / 30 May 88 » transits, San Francisco transit and Dexter arrival cds all on obverse with USA 5c tied by duplex cancel and oval « U.S. POSTAL AGENCY / SHANGHAI / 31MAY88 » datestamp, roughly opened at right but not affecting the stamps.
The 3 candarins value on cover is very unusual, especially as part of a mixed franking
