RARE MIXED FRANKING COVER TO USA 1880 (Jun 2) Large Dragon combination cover (opened out for display) from Tientsin to the USA, reverse franked with Large Dragon thin paper 1c to 5c complete set of 3 cancelled by the rare Tientsin seal chop, matching the « Customs / Tientsin / 2.6.80 » cds alongside, with San Francisco transit adjacent and the 3c and 5c additionally tied by « Customs /Shanghai / 6.6.80 » transit, obverse with Japanese 5 sen brown tied by black cork cancellation (corner fault) with « I.J.Postal Agency / Shanghai / June 9 » cds and Yokohama transit adjacent, faint USA arrival cds. The cover has lost small parts of the flap in opening, and is slightly toned due to ageing.
