1776-2003, Fantastic and comprehensive collection of CHANNEL ISLANDS mounted on 700 pages, mainly Jersey and Guernsey, starting with pre-stamp / stampless mail from the Channel Islands to France, with a range of hs incl. « COL. PAR CHERBOURG », « S MALO », COLONIES PAR / … », « GRANDE BRETAGNE PAR / … », stampless mail from the Islands with Jersey and Guernsey s/l and scroll hs, scarce French Ballon Montés to Jersey (3) and Guernsey, two covers from Jersey with 1840 1d black, many QV surface printed frankings incl. destinations to Singapore and Hong Kong, a vast array of cancels on cover incl. sub-offices, strong section of Jersey- France MB (Boites Mobile) cancels on cover, paquebot, GB stamps cancelled in France incl. several covers with QV tied by lozenge cancels, rare 1900 « MAIL PER S S IBEX » wreck cover, well-developed 1940-43 Jersey / Guernsey Arms issues with varieties and covers incl. imperfs on cover, proofs, etc., many bisects on cover incl. KGV 2d (6) and 1940 Stamp Centenary bisect pair from Sark, WW2 Feldpost with mixed Jersey and German frankings, Censored and Concentration Camp mail (some outgoing to Germany), Red Cross messages, later issues with a strong section of modern errors and varieties incl. Jersey 1958 3d deep lilac in left marginal block of 12 with six stamps completely unprinted, 1970-74 2 1/2p missing gold, 1979 Calf 6p with double gold, 1993 Jersey 50th Anniv. 39p in sheet of 20 with double perforation on the top row, etc., proofs incl. a page from the Courvoisier archive, postal strike mail, rare perfins, postage dues and so on, simply the most comprehensive collection of Channel Islands we have had the pleasure to offer, sold as one lot to conserve its completeness but still with room for further research, expansion and specialisation, scanned in its entirety on the website
