ONE OF THE EARLIEST RECORDED PHILATELIC GAMES1868ca. Memory game of 70 wooden pieces featuring reproductions of stamps printed on paper on one side and portions of a map on the reverse, the stamps with issues from around 1867-68 incl. GB, Russia, Sweden, Greece Norway, Australian States, Uruguay, Brazil, USA German States, Switzerland, etc., very similar to the game we sold in December 2020 but with « 3D » blocks to join the stamp designs together on the sides, in a later box but still with the original lid, an extraordinary artefact, a gorgeous item of early stamp collecting memorabilia.
