
1841 (17 Mar) entire from London to Doncaster bearing 1840 2d. blue, HL, Pl. 1, with huge margins neatly tied by black Maltese cross, , the cover « Turned » and re used from Leeds to Doncaster (4 Apr) bearing an 1841 1d. red neatly tied by a fine strike of the distinctive Leeds Maltese cross in black; fine and very rare. An unusual usage, as the cover was originally prepaid at the 1 oz rate and subsequently reused at a single 1d. R.P.S. Certificate (2003)
