1840 1d. Black, Pl. 10, IA, marginal example from the left of the sheet showing part inscription « d SIDE of the Letter » cancelled by black Maltese cross, also a matching 1840 2d. Blue, Pl. 1 also from the left of the sheet showing the same part inscription neatly cancelled by red Maltese cross; small faults though a very nice matching pair of the worlds first two stamps and incredibly hard to replicate as a used inscriptional pair from any any plate; Very rare. Each with an Eichele certificate (2010).
