1840 1d Black pl.5 NA, an enormous example torn from the sheet and showing portions of three adjoining stamps, placed at upper left (contrary to regulations) on wrapper to Olney, tied by a stunning, complete and almost upright strike of the red Maltese cross, the reverse with a perfectly struck Bedford date stamp; a phenomenal cover of exhibition quality, cert. BPA (1994)
