1853 (Apr 12) Envelope from Toddington (Bedfordshire) to the Cape of Good Hope with 1s deep green, cut square, touched on two sides, with « 266 » barred oval cancellation of Dunstable and Toddington udc alongside, on envelope endorsed « per Indiana », sent to the Royal Observatory in Cape Town, Dunstable and London bs, seal missing from the reverse, a fine letter and scarce usage of the deep green shade on cover, cert.
