Lot 65036 – 1862 6d blue-green, mint compound perforation
1862 6d blue-green, unused with original gum and hinge remnant, with compound perforation (14 to 16 at left and foot; 11 to 12 1/2 at top and right). A lovely example of this scarce compound perforation (thought to be a trial perforation and not known in used condition), with excellent colour (SG £3250); with certificate Friedl 1976 (showing an original horizontal pair of which this is the left stamp).
