Lot 30850 – Luxembourg 1853 Second printing greenish black used block of six

1853 Second printing 10c greenish black block of six (3 x 2) with nine bar cancels and part blue handstamp of ‘Wagner & Schoemann’ top left, probably the finest known, largest loose block.Acquired by Mauric Burrus at Kohler 15/12 1920 auction, lot 1736, then in Burrus auction 1963 as the second highest value lot (BFr 130,000), light vertical crease between right pairs not affecting stamps, superb.
