Description

1867-1980 Extensive, attractive and valuable life-time accumulation of collections from all the major Middle East and or Arabic speaking nations countries all neatly presented and housed in 25 Lindner albums, plus the more modern parts of each collection in fourteen stockbooks, plus a wealth of literature in order to help the new and or advance collector to acquire the necessary knowledge. This vast collection of collections is described in more detail as follows:

– 1) Abu Dhabi: 1964-1993 Collection in one Lindner album showing mostly mint with a good deal of completion, plus a selection of mint 1963-69 Sharjah etc. (Est. €200/€300)

– 2) Aden: 1937-1966 Collection in one Lindner album showing mostly mint with a good deal of completion, including the 1937 Dhow set to 10r, plus a selection of mint Qu’aiti State, Yemen PDR & Yeman Arab Republic etc. (Est. €200/€300)

– 3) Afghanistan: 1871-1980 Collection in two Lighthouse stockbooks, mostly mint but some early classics used (Est. €200/€300)

– 4) Algeria: 1924-1987 Collection in three Lighthouse stockbooks, mostly mint showing a good deal of completion incl. Yvert 137A, plus some useful parcel post issues (Est. €300/€400)

– 5) Bahrain: 1933-1990 Collection in one Lindner album showing mostly mint with a good deal of completion with a fine array of Indian stamps ovptd with value to 25r, Great Britain stamps overprinted including 1952-54 1/2a orange mint with “1/2” omitted, plus later sets, singles and miniature sheets, plus some small group of used on pages and mint Ajman etc. (Est. €600/€800)

– 6) Dubai: 1964-1971 Collection in one Lindner album showing mostly mint with a good deal of completion, plus a selection of mint 1964-72 Umm Al Qiwain etc. (Est. €150/€200)

– 7) Levant: 1868-1921 Collection in one Lindner album showing mostly mint with a good deal of completion, with Levant issue including French Levant, German Levant, Austrian Levant, Italian Levant, Russian Levant and British Levant, plus some useful used throughout, plus some postal stationery etc., highlights include British Levant 1906 1pi on 2d mint, cert. – 8) Morocco: 1964-1993 Collection in three Lindner albums and one stockbook showing mostly mint with a good deal of completion, including Morocco Agencies with many complete sets, plus some ovpt varieties, German Post Offices in Morocco, Morocco Local Posts, Spanish Morocco, French Morocco highlights includes 1893 Postage Due 5c and 10c black etc. (Est. €1’500/€2’000)

– 10) Tunisia: 1888-1978 Collection in one Lindner album, small album of stationery and one stockbook, showing mostly mint with a good deal of completion, including a fine selection of postage dues with the early issues with the perforated “T” etc. (Est. €300/€500)

– 11) Libya: 1912-1948 Collection in one Lindner album and one stockbook showing Italian Colonies Libia, Tripoli and Cirenaica mostly mint with a good deal of completion, plus a selection of mint and used Middle East Forces etc. (Est. €1’000/€1’500)

– 12) Qatar: 1948-1966 Collection in one Lindner album & one stock book showing mostly mint with a good deal of completion with a fine array of British Postal Agencies in Eastern Arabia, plus later sets, singles and miniature sheets, plus mint Fujeira etc. (Est. €200/€300)

– 13) Egypt: 1867-1982 Collection in four Lindner albums and one stockbook showing mint and used, extensive early issues with 1866 First Issue complete to 10pi, some better town cancels, varieties with tete-beche pairs, inverted surcharges, postage dues, officials, postal stationery, commemoratives which appears complete incl. 1926 Port Fuad, plus much back of the book with revenues, interpostal seals, Suez Canal, French Offices in Alexandria and Port Said with varieties etc. (Est. €5’000/€6’000)

– 14) Iraq: 1917-1990 Collection in one Lindner album and three stockbooks showing a fine array of unused and used Bagdad ovpts including SG 24, £2’000, plus later Mosul & British Occupation, plus better sets incl. both 25r postage & official, and much later modern (Est. €5’000/€6’000)

– 15) Jordan: 1920-1955 Collection in one Lindner album and two stockbooks showing good deal of completion with a fine array of Transjordan, later sets and singles incl. 1933 set to £P1, plus revenues and Palestine ovpts (Est. €1’500/€2’000)

– 16) Kuwait: 1923-1985 Collection in one Lindner album showing a good deal of completion with most of the better early postage and official sets to 15Rs etc. (Est. €500/€1’000)

– 17) Lebanon: 1924-1984 Collection in two Lindner album showing a good deal of completion from French Mandate with many better set and singles, plus varieties, later Republic under French Mandate, plus later Independant Republic issues, airmails, miniature sheets, stationery and some revenues etc. (Est. €1’500/€2’000)

– 18) Palestine: 1918-1964 Collection in one Lindner album with a good deal of completion useful Mandate issues with a few better, some revenues, plus later Egyptian Occupation of Gaza etc. (Est. €300/€500)

– 19) Persia (Iran): 1868-1977 Collection in three Lindner albums and two stockbooks showing a fine array of the Lion issues, a good deal of completion for the later issues with some duplication, plus Meched five different value used, 20th century sets incl. 1914 unadopted coronation issues, 1942-46 5d to 200r with the rare 20r & 30r values, plus officials, varieties, and some Bushire, Revolutionary ovpts & Azerbaijan handstamps etc. (Est. €4’000/€5’000)

– 20) Saudi Arabia: 1916-1980 Collection in two Lindner albums showing a good deal of completion mostly mint, some used, with strength in Hejaz and Nejd some better, many signed Holcombe, Wilson, Graham or the usual “ela”, some forgeries present, later with many key sets and better singles, airmails, officials, revenues etc., (SG £40’000+) (Est. €5’000/€6’000)

– 21) Sudan: 1895-1954 Collection in one Lindner album showing mostly mint with a good deal of completion, plus a selection of used, officials and postal stationery, plus a fine array of minor varieties (Est. €300/€400)

– 23) Yemen: 1926-1982 Collection in one Lindner album and one stockbook showing mostly mint with a good deal of completion, including 1926 First Issue unused and used selection including two unused blocks of four etc. (Est. €200/€300)
