Kadambas of Hangal. temp. Shantivarma. C. 1075-1094, in the name and type of Jayasimha II Jagadekamalla, ruler of the Chalukyas of Kalyana, AV pagoda, 3.50 g. (23 mm). Obverse: flan stamped with with seven punchmarks of stylized lion right. temple symbol with pellets, central anthropomorphic Garuda running. Reverse: blank with some striations and uncertain punchmark.
EF and very rare, lustrous surfaces, well-defined details, sharp. A similar coin was sold in CNG 412, 2018, lot 801 (1100 usd).
