THE FINEST SE-TENANT USED PAIR
1853-55 Waterlow lithographed 4 cents deep blue, horizontal pair showing types 6 & 7, large margins all around, right stamp clearly showing the retouch featuring coloured line over the denomination, neatly cancelled by 18 November 1853 Demerara cds, an extremely fine multiple; (SG £2’700 as singles).
The finest se-tenant pair recorded, featuring the retouch, of only four recorded, with only two being in perfect condition (the other being a vertical pair, ex “Besançon”).
