1809 (January 10th) Folded cover sent from Ross, Co. Wexford to William Armit, the First clerk of the General Post Office, Dublin, rated double “1/-” subsequently erased, showing ROSS/68 mileage mkg in black with a clear strike of the red FREE/11JA11/1809 MERMAID (evening duty), a wonderful usage.
