UNIQUE MIXED FRANKING COVER
2d blue, two singles, showing intermediate and worn impressions, positions 8 and 4, both neatly tied by oval bars cancels, on small envelope from Port Louis to Cape Town (Poste Restante), and reposted back to Port Louis with Cape Triangular 4d blue (small faults), bs of Mauritius, Cape Town and Mauritius Crown Circle.
An outstanding combination full of character from the Mitchell correspondence. One other cover known from the same find and bearing Britannia 6d and Cape 4d refranking
