THE UNIQUE FERRARY & BURRUS UNUSED PLATE RECONSTRUCTION OF THE 1848-59 ONE PENNY
1857-59 1d. red on bluish, complete plate reconstruction of twelve positions, unused without gum as issued, all being well margined with predomination of large margins, the second position, which was repaired in the Ferrary and Burrus collections, has been replaced by an example in good condition, three other examples have small faults and one repaired, in no way detracting from this great rarity, the only available reconstructed sheet of this denomination in unused condition, the other reconstruction being part of the Tapling collection in the British Library, a very impressive exhibition assembly
