1915-39, Attractive Award-winning exhibition collection on Poland’s Early Airmail, mounted on 80 pages, showing the development of the Polish airmail service from the pioneers to the invasion of Poland by Hitler’s forces in 1939, wide range of frankings both inland and abroad, early items include items flown out of Przemysl in 1915, covers flown to and within Poland during the last few months of the Austrian occupation, covers flown on the “Aereotag”: the first attempt to set up a private airmail carrier service in 1921, development of foreign companies in Poland such as Aerolloyd, Companie Franco-Roumaine de Navigation Aérienne and Polskie Linie Lotnicze, noted also 1928 min.sheet, Warsaw-Copenhagen vignettes, good Zeppelins, experimental and trial flight, lot includes also extra group of vignettes plus 68 loose covers, very fine, see complete set of scans on the web
