1909 Cover to Cairo franked Austrian Levant 25 centimes and posted on Russian ship of the Mediterranean Coast Line, cancelled large blue oval RUSSIAN COMPANY FOR STEAM SHIPPING AND TRADE STEAMSHIP ROSSIYA 10 June 1909, Cairo arrival backstamp 3 7 09. Fine and rare usage.
The “Rossiya” (2387 tons) was built at Newcastle by Lesley & Co. in 1872 and registered at Odessa as a post-passenger vessel.Please note that we are still working on adding images for the lots.
