1877 ca. Envelope (flap missing) to Larnaca, Cyprus, franked Russian Levant 1872-90 10k and posted at sea, oval framed M.B. (Mobile Box) and ‘942’ obliterator applied at British Post Office, Larnaca on arrival. No previous record of Larnaca cancels on Russian mail. Cert. RPS.
Addressed to Z.D.Pierides who was acting British Consular Official in Larnaca 1876-78. Part of correspondence from merchants Christmann & Fils C. Mavromatti at Mersina, Turkey.
