1852 Waterlow 1 cent black on magenta, a huge margined example with large portion of next stamp at right, used on piece with neat clear Demerara cds on 12 August 1853, with an additional strike at base, boasting a brilliant colour and without any rubbing, most attractive; (SG £5’500).
In a very rare premium quality in an issue where faults are the norm and, after the previous lot, the second-finest available.
