“En 40 ans, je n’ai jamais vécu une telle expérience, où chaque lot a fait l’objet de plusieurs enchères et où l’estimation a été souvent multipliée par dix, quinze ou parfois plus, ne laissant aucun lot sans preneur! », commentait David Feldman à la fin de cette vente historique.
Après la vente du célèbre « One Cent Magenta” le 17 juin à New York par Sotheby’s pour un prix record de 9.5 Millions USD, la vente de la collection de John E. du Pont vendredi dernier à Genève a été un succès phénoménal.
La vente s’est déroulée dans une ambiance compétitive avec des enchérisseurs en salle à Genève, au téléphone mais aussi sur internet via notre système de vente en direct. Les prix d’adjudication ont affichés 500% en moyenne de nos estimations et il a fallu plus de 3h30 pour vendre les 131 lots.
La vente a ainsi dépassé toutes les prévisions et attentes avec 100% des lots vendus pour un total d’environ 6 millions d’Euros.
