N° Estimate ( € ) 20144 F 6ay 40pa deep blue, used, two singles, both with good clear margins, on registered letter sheet to Galatzi, tied red oval “Franco Jassy” hand stamp, with red straight line “RECIPISSE” and Jassy 22/12 circular date stamp alongside, colourful attractive and scarce, signed Pfenninger 800 - 1’200 20145 C 7y 80 Parale brick-red, on bluish paper, unused with full original gum, huge margins all round, a superb example of the potentially very rare paper shade, careful examination shows the paper is most definitively bluish, exhibition showpiece Expertise: Certificates: Friedl (December 1947) states “.. on bluish, Scott # 7”; Heimbuchler (January 3, 2003): “.. on yellowish-gray paper… This unusual shade of paper is not catalogued, but it does not belong to the very rare late printing of the lilac-blue Scott 7”.
