N° Estimate ( € ) Romania – Early Postal History & Classic Stamps – June 5, 2019 20030 F TECUCI: 1861 (6.2) Postal manuscript bearing very clear greenish blue decorative ornate Cyrillic double-circle cachet with inscription “EXPEDITIA POSTII TIRGUL TECUCI”, depicting Arms, Dolphins and Posthorn and dated 1852 (Dragomir type SM52 – 3R; see # 12 page 18), extremely fine and rare Note: Full translation of the document may be viewed on line 300 - 400 20031 F TIRGU JIU: 1842 Postal manuscript (28.8) bearing on both sides a very clear decorative ornate negative seal depicting postal coach pulled by two horses, coachman cracking the whip and surrounded by Cyrillic inscription indicating Tirgu Jiu and Kozia postal stations ( on the postal road # 4, Bucharest – Craiova; see Dragomir, page 25 ), attractive and rarely seen Note: The seal has the following inscription: “Suptcarmuitorul p(lasa) Horezu, j(udetul) Valcea” = “Vice- management of Horezu district, Vilcea county”. This document is issued by Racovita village, confirms receipt from the management of 150 lei and is signed by seven epitropi (church administrators: Mihaila Labau, Dumitru Tuican, Simion Tuci, Patru Barbu, Catu Chazart, Catu Speriatu, Petru Croitoru). 300 - 400
