N° Estimate ( € ) 20006 F 1831 Postal order ( Inam ): Decorative, pre-printed form requesting Casa Postelor (Post House) to make four horses available to Mr. Maior Buzdugan for travel from Jassy to Vaslui, Husi and Docolina on the order of Mr. Vice-President (*). It bears a large, ornate oval black seal reading “Principality of Moldavia, Administrative Council, 1849” – very fine, attractive and scarce Note: full translation of the document may be viewed on line. (*) Between 1828-1842 Moldavia and Wallachia were occupied by Russia. Each principality was run by a Russian Vice-President and they both reported to the Russian general Pavel Kiseleff – the president of the two principalities. (**) Manuscript notation atop of the document reading :” This inam having been used was sent to the controller for investigation” and signed by Karanfil 150 - 200 20007 F 1851 (17.2) Postal order ( Inam ): Decorative, pre-printed form requesting Casa Postelor (Post House) to release eight horses to one Major Coenicianul for travel from Jassy to Tecuci and Putna and back, for the benefit of the Administration.
