Feldman Express Online Auction, June 27, 2011

PRICES REALISED

Our first Feldman Express – Online Auction took place on June 27 at 4:00 pm (CET Time).

Participation in this auction was via our familiar Live Auction bidding screen that has become a valued part of the traditional full-service auctions held in Geneva over recent years. The only difference is that internet bidders have exclusive rights to bid on items – there will be no floor bidders, no phone bidders. With a pure internet focus, we are also able to avoid the additional time required to produce printed catalogues – all lots in a Feldman Express auction will be shown exclusively on our website. For those of you unable to join us online for the live auction, you have the ability to make pre-bids on all items via the website with the confidence that the auctioneer will defend your bids to the level required to win the lot, and no more.

It is our desire that these auctions will offer buyers with new opportunities to purchase philatelic items without needing to wait for the traditional Spring or Autumn sale to add to their collections.  Likewise, consignors of attractive items now have another outlet for material that they wish to sell, with the time between consignment and payment drastically reduced compared to the traditional auction schedule..

The first Feldman Express Auction presented 400 lots with stamps and letters from Europe, French Colonies, Great Britain and British Empire. Also presented are some thematic items with Airmail covers including Crash Mail, Pigeon Post, etc..
